“It’s a magical world, Hobbes, ol’ buddy… Let’s go exploring!” – Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes
The USA needs no introduction, it is a country where world-famous cities, historic landmarks, and larger-than-life theme parks come together in one trip. From the bright lights of New York to Boston’s colonial history, from California’s sun-drenched coast to the rollercoasters of Orlando, every region offers something different. With direct flights from the UK and excellent family-friendly infrastructure, the USA makes it easy to combine culture, adventure, and relaxation in a single journey.

Few destinations are as varied and flexible as the USA. For younger children, there are theme parks, aquariums, and interactive museums; for teens, adventures like cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge, kayaking on Boston’s Charles River, or discovering America’s history along the Freedom Trail. Parents will appreciate the mix of comfort, wide-open roads, and endless dining options that keep travel stress-free. With so many choices — beaches, cities, history, wildlife, and adventure — families can create a holiday that perfectly matches their ages and interests, whether that’s a classic East Coast city break, a California road trip, or a theme park adventure in Florida.

The USA is vast, diverse, and full of family adventures — from theme parks and national parks to road trips along scenic coastlines. For UK families, it’s a long-haul trip worth doing well: each region offers something different, and the right itinerary depends on your kids’ ages and interests.

Day 4–6: Cape Cod & Martha’s Vineyard (2 hr drive)
Head south to the coast, where sandy beaches and relaxed seaside towns await. Stay on Cape Cod or take the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Families can enjoy whale-watching cruises, bike rides along the seafront, and evenings at casual seafood shacks. The slower pace and safe beaches are perfect for younger kids, while teens can try kayaking or paddleboarding.
Day 7–8: Vermont (4 hr drive inland)
Drive inland to Vermont, where families can experience the countryside and small-town charm.
